Description
32 and 34 Brighton Road are a pair of cottages that date back to the early to mid 19th century, as they are shown on a map from 1817. The cottages are finished in stucco and feature a hipped slate roof, which has a central cemented brick stack and a left side stack in the set-back extension of No 34. The buildings are two storeys high and have four windows in the main range, with an additional window in the extension to No 34. The windows are cambered 12-pane sashes set in reveals, with a late 19th-century window on the ground floor of the extension to No 34. The right side has round-headed doorcases that include a keystone and fanlight, along with pilasters and flush panelled doors. It is noted that the fanlight above the door to No 32 is blocked.
