Description
The wall and gatepiers to the Town Hall were built in 1901 by Hugh McIntosh and Newman as part of the design for the Municipal buildings, which include the courthouse and police and fire station. The structure features a low wall approximately 2 feet high, topped with stone coping that steps down the hill. It incorporates two pairs of brick and stone piers, each adorned with round-headed caps that display a portcullis design, foliage, and ovolo moulding.
