Description
These are a pair of 18th-century cottages located on Fountain Road. Each cottage is two storeys high with an attic. Number 117 has a single, wide bay, while number 119 has two narrower bays. The cottages are constructed of painted brick, with a first-floor band present (though missing from part of number 119). They have three gabled dormers set into the eaves of a steeply pitched tiled roof. The windows are mostly 19th-century one-bar casements, with one sash window also present. The front doors are plain and boarded, each sheltered by a small, pediment-shaped hood supported by brackets. A fire insurance sign is visible on the first floor of number 119.
