Description

The Firs is an early 19th-century stuccoed house of three storeys and three windows, situated on Brighton Road in Redhill. The house has a low-pitched slated roof with deep eaves and soffits. Full-height outer segmental bows contain tripartite sash windows with glazing bars, curved on plan. A veranda with a tent-shaped hood covers the ground-floor entrance, which features a fanlight. An inter-war south wing was added by Connell Ward and Lucas. While completely modern, this wing respects the scale of the original building.
