Description

This is a 17th-century timber-framed cottage located on Hooley Lane, Redhill. Originally a two-storey, two-window dwelling, it has a high-pitched tiled roof with new end chimneys and an old compound stack positioned behind the ridge. A gable-ended rear wing is also present. The cottage has been refaced in red brick, with the first floor on the right-hand side now blank. The ground floor features segment-headed openings, housing 19th-century casement windows and a plain boarded door. A single beam is visible in the left gable.
