Description
The Cottage is a building from around the mid-19th century, finished in stucco. It features a central window bay that rises two storeys and is set back, flanked by gabled wings that project forward, one at two storeys and the other at three storeys. The gables are adorned with decorative bargeboards and finials. The roof is tiled and includes crest tiles.
In the southeast attic, there is a pointed two-light casement window with a hood mould above it. The northwest gable has a stuccoed medallion in the attic storey. On the first floor, there are three two-light casement windows, each with a wooden transom and mullion, also featuring hood moulds above. The ground floor has a three-sided square bay window with a hipped tiled roof on each end bay. The central entrance door is sheltered by a porch, which has a tiled gabled roof supported by wooden pillars, with a stuccoed medallion set into the gable. There is a one-storey extension with one window to the west.
The Cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 3 to 8 and Nos 18 to 24.
