Description
7 and 8 Rose Hill are a pair of semi-detached villas built in the mid-19th century, designed in the Tudor-Gothic style, similar to Nos 3 and 4. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic and a basement, featuring two windows on the front. They have a tiled roof with a parapet and two groups of six brick octagonal chimneys on low brick bases. The window bay closest to the center projects forward and extends the full height of the house, topped with a steeply pitched gable that includes one attic window. There is a stringcourse above the attic that runs parallel to the top of the gable. The lower storeys have rendered transomed and mullioned windows with architraves, and there is a bay window on the ground floor with a parapet above it. To the sides of the gabled bays, there is an outer window bay that is two storeys tall, featuring a Tudor arched window above and a Tudor arched doorway below. Nos 3 to 8 and Nos 18 to 24 form a group.
