Description
23 and 24 Rose Hill are a pair of semi-detached villas built in the early to mid 19th century. They feature a mansarded slate roof with chimney stacks at either end. The buildings are two storeys high, with a basement and attic, and are finished in cement. They have a cornice and parapet, with four windows and four dormer windows in the attic. The first storey has four sash windows with intact glazing bars, including two very narrow central windows above the doorway. There are steps leading up to the entrance, which has double porches supported by Doric pillars and pilasters, topped with an entablature. The entrance features panelled doors with rectangular fanlights. There is a later two-storey extension with one window to the east and a modern one-storey extension with one window to the west. Nos 3 to 8 and Nos 18 to 24 Rose Hill form a group.
