Description
Stone House is an early to mid 19th century villa located on Rose Hill. It is constructed of firestone and features a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three gabled bays that decrease in height towards the west. The central bay projects the furthest, while the western bay is set back the most. There are three mullioned windows, with two lights above and three lights below, each fitted with sash windows. A set of five steps leads up to the porch in the central bay, which has flat arches and side walls that are open except for low balustrades. The porch features a pointed arch resting on corbels, set within a rectangular arch. Above the porch, there is a stringcourse and diamond-shaped panelling. Stone House is part of a group that includes Nos 3 to 8 and Nos 18 to 24 on the same street.
