Description
The sundial, located in the center of the forecourt in front of the south front of Ashtead Park House, is likely from the late 19th century. It is made of Portland stone and features a base consisting of three square steps. The pedestal is shaped like an inverted trumpet, with a fluted stem and a gadrooned top. It has a large square cap adorned with a guilloche band and an egg-and-dart rim. The circular plate is inscribed with "Dollond, London" and has an unpierced gnomon.
