Description

This is a 19th century coal tax post made of cast iron, standing on a square plinth with chamfered sides. The post features a panel that displays the City of London Coat of Arms and has a moulded cap. Near the top of the shaft, there is a raised inscription that reads "4 x 25 Vict Cap 42".
