Description
Dovecote, probably early 19th century, located 10 yards west of Hurst Farm House on Hurst Road in Headley. It is constructed of flint with brick quoins and banding, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The building is square in plan and has two storeys, with a single storey catslide roof at the rear. The east face features a brick-dressed door with a boarded door and an arched birdhole above it. The roof is pyramidal with a raised cap. There is one casement window in the catslide at the rear, a doorway on the left side, and a corner chimney. Inside, the walls of the upper stage are lined with wooden nesting boxes.
