Description
Pettys Farm House is a house dating from the 17th century, with extensions added in the 20th century. It features part timber framing, clad in Reigate stone rubble, with brick angle quoins and brick extensions, all under plain tiled roofs. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high on a plinth, with an end stack to the right and a corbelled multiple stack to the left of centre. There is an attic in the gable at the front of the stack.
On the first floor of the original house, there are three windows, while the extension to the right has two additional windows. The ground floor of the old section has two windows, with one in the extension to the right. There is also a small diamond-pane leaded casement window to the left of centre in a blocked former doorway.
The left-hand return front, which faces the lane, features a gable with attic windows to the right, and one 20th-century casement window on each floor below. The framed range to the left and centre has a pentice across the front. There is a porch and door to the right of centre, and a 20th-century gable with another entrance to the left.
