Description

Street Farm Barn, also known as The Towered Barn, is a barn dating from the early 17th century that was restored in the 20th century. It features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with renewed tarred weatherboard cladding and plain tiled roofs. The barn has a square-hipped roof over a turret at the south end. On the east side, there are four fixed casement windows and a central set of opposing double doors. The tower at the south is topped with a weathervane and is said to have contained tanks that once pumped water from a well beneath, which supplied the village at one time.
