Description

Ye Olde Bakehouse is a building that likely dates back to the 15th century, with a one-bay brick extension added to the east in 1734, as indicated by the date on the chimney. The structure has two storeys and is timber-framed with painted brick infilling, featuring some visible curved braces. It has a tiled roof that is hipped to the west and includes a gablet. The building has three dormers, three casement windows, and a simple doorcase. The 18th-century extension is two storeys high, constructed of red brick and has a tiled roof with one casement window. Inside, the building contains a crown post and smoke blackened rafters.
