Description
Nos 3 and 3A Sheep Green Cottages are a pair of houses that were originally built in the 17th century and later extended in the 19th century. The cottages are timber framed, with a red brick base and red brick infilling visible above, while part of the right side is clad in brick. They have plain tiled roofs, with a hipped roof over the end extension to the right.
The buildings are two storeys tall, featuring a ridge stack to the left of the centre and a tiled offset stack to the right end, which is now enclosed by the extension. On the first floor, there are four casement windows, two of which have diamond-pane leading. The ground floor has four windows as well, with two on the left positioned under drip boards and two on the right under cambered heads. There is a door to the left that leads to a lobby entry, which is sheltered by a gabled hood (for No. 3A), and another door on the right-hand return front (for No. 3).
