Description

The gateway to the gardens at Betchworth House is an 18th-century structure made of painted brick on plinths, featuring stone finials on the central piers. It includes side pedestrian entrances with round-arched, panelled doors set in moulded impost-block surrounds. The main gates, which were situated between pineapple-topped gate piers, are no longer present. To the left, there is a wall extending from the outer pier to the stable block, standing approximately 5 feet high and contributing to the character of the street.
