Description
The gateway to the kitchen garden of South Tidworth House is a mid-19th century structure featuring a pair of gate piers and a gate. The piers are made of rusticated brick and are square in shape, with the outer sections being doubled in width and lower in height. Each pier is topped with a stone cap that has a moulded cornice and a panelled base supporting a panelled ball finial. A moulded stone band runs along the base of the piers. Between the upper and lower sections of the piers, there is a stone ancone. The gateway itself consists of a wrought-iron framework with an ornamental design in the center.
