Description
The premises occupied by Balchin's Stores is a building from the 17th century or earlier that has undergone significant alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features gable ends on both the east and west sides, with a pentice on the north. The south side has a modern shop front that extends out in front of the building, and above this, there are two small gables that are tile-hung and blind. The building has two storeys and an attic within the gable ends, and there is one window located in the east gable end. A photograph of the building is available in the National Monuments Record.
