Description

Heathcote Skeynes House, formerly known as Ellerslie, is an early 19th century building originally constructed as two houses. It is two storeys high with a six-window facade. The exterior is stuccoed, featuring an eaves cornice and a slate roof in three hips. The original glazing bars remain intact. Recessed porches, accessed by steps, flank the entrance. Each porch has an elliptical arch supported by square, fluted columns which hold a cornice, creating a segmental opening between the cornice and the arch soffit. A photograph of the house is held in the National Monuments Record.
