Description

This is an 18th-century barn located at Lower Hammond Farm, facing the lane. It features a timber frame set on a flint rubble plinth, with weatherboard cladding on the front and a combination of brick and weatherboard on the rear. The barn has a steep hipped plain tiled roof with end gablets. It consists of five framed bays, with the left end open. There are central opposing wagon entrances, one of which faces the yard and is situated under a hipped projection. Inside, the barn has jowled posts, thick bracing on the yard side, and a queen strut construction.
