Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a house dating from the late 16th century, with a late 18th-century extension on the left. The right side is timber framed with colourwashed brick infill, while the extension is made of colourwashed brick. The roofs are plain tiled, hipped to the left over the extension. The building has two storeys, consisting of two framed bays with a single bay extension. There are end stacks on both the right and left. The original section features two casement windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, with the ground floor windows located under pentice drip boards. The extension has one window on each floor, with the ground floor window set under a cambered head. A half-glazed door is positioned to the left of centre on the original section, sheltered by a shallow, open, gabled porch. To the right, there is a pentice extension that is of no special interest.
