Description

Cripplegate is a cottage that dates back to the 16th century on the right side and was extended to the left in the 1970s. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick and render cladding covering most of the frame, although some timbers are exposed on the first floor. The roof is half-hipped and covered with plain tiles. The cottage has two storeys and includes a central corbelled stack. It consists of two framed bays, with bracing visible on the right side of the first floor. There are two casement windows on each floor, and a 20th-century door is located in the centre, sheltered by a half-hipped porch. The left side has a brick extension with a hipped roof and a link bay connecting it to the cottage.
