Description
The walls and gates to Ockham Park date from the late 19th century. They are constructed of red and blue brick, topped with stone finials and feature wrought iron gates. The flanking walls are curved in a quadrant shape and have square end piers, which are decorated with banded rustication and stone lion finials. The walls have corbelled coping and stand on an offset plinth that is adorned with terracotta roundel bands. Each wall includes a 22-round-arched arcade. In the center, there are 9-foot-high square piers topped with lions, which flank double iron gates that have scroll decorations on the standards. The double gates also feature spear decoration and roundel bands at the top and bottom.
