Description

This is an early 18th-century hand threshing barn situated approximately 230 yards north west of Wanborough Manor. The barn is timber-framed and has weatherboard cladding on a rubblestone and brick plinth. There is an outshut to the south side with a squared clunch wall and brick piers. The roof is tiled, with a half-hipped east end that extends into a catslide to the south. The barn has three framed bays, featuring central opposing entrances, with a north entrance having a hood and double board doors, and a south entrance sheltered by a projecting, hipped roof. A hayloft door is located in the west gable.

Inside, the barn has queen-strut collar and tie beam trusses with braced ties, and double butt purlins tenoned in staggered sections. It was derelict at the time of the last survey.
