Description

No. 78 on Stoke Road is a house dating from the early 19th century. It features incised whitewashed render cladding and has a low-pitched hipped roof covered with modern machine-made tiles. The building is two storeys high and has a stack located at the rear left. The front of the house is symmetrical, with three 9-pane unhorned glazing-bar sash windows on the first floor and two 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor. The central entrance on the ground floor has a modern six-panel door set within a gabled porch, which is decorated with trellis work and features lattice pattern standards and a sunburst pattern in the arch spandrels.
