Description
This is an early 19th-century cottage, extended to the right in the 20th century. The original house is built of flint rubble with yellow brick dressings and a plain tiled roof. The 20th-century extension to the right is of yellow brick with a red brick return wall. The original cottage is two storeys high and three bays wide, with end stacks. It has a brick plinth, block rusticated end piers, and a brick plat band above the ground floor. The first floor has three two-light casement windows with an ogee head, set within block rusticated brick surrounds. Below are two similar windows. A single-bay extension to the right has 20th-century casement windows in matching surrounds. A square brick porch with dentil eaves and a gabled parapet is centrally located on the original range; it contains a ribbed door with an overlight. A parallel range extends to the rear of the right side of the building.
