Description
Clasford Farm House is a 17th-century house located on Aldershot Road in Worplesdon. The building is timber-framed with a brick plinth, and the upper part is exposed with whitewashed brick infill. Originally thatched, the roof is now plain tiled and half-hipped at both ends. The house has two storeys and features ridge stacks on the right and left sides. It consists of five framed bays, with heavy arched bracing visible on the first floor. The windows are metal casements, with four on the first floor and five below. To the right, there is a ribbed and studded door with arched heads to the ribs, set in a gabled brick porch that has block rustication on the jambs and dentils on the gable. The right-hand return front shows exposed curved bracing, while the rear includes a pentice extension across the ground floor and a wing to the right. Inside, substantial framing is exposed, and there are deep brick fireplaces.
