Description

Eashing Farm House is a house dating from the late 16th century at the rear right and the late 18th century across the front, with 20th-century extensions to the rear right. It has a timber-framed core, with the right-hand return front and center exposed, whitewashed brick infill, mortar-rendered and colourwashed sandstone rubble across the front, and red and brown brick dressings. The roofs are plain tiled and hipped to the front. The building features two parallel ranges at the front, with a wing at right angles to the rear right, linking to another parallel range on the right half of the rear. It is two storeys high with brick dentilled eaves at the front. There is a large ridge stack at the center of the older rear range, a valley stack to the left, and an additional end stack on the extension to the rear right. The facade is regular, with casement windows: two 3-light windows on the first floor at either end, one 2-light window in the center in front of a recessed roundel window, and two 3-light windows on the ground floor, all under gauged brick heads. The central entrance features half-glazed double doors leading to a stone and wood panelled porch with a hipped roof and double panelled outer doors.

On the right-hand return front, there is an exposed framed section in the center with a pentice roof "cross" window and an extension on the ground floor. A large gable projects to the right, with a 20th-century framed extension on brick underbuild at the right end. The rear features a stack to the right and a large ridge stack on the gabled bay.

Inside, there is some panelling and a 20th-century Georgian style staircase. The windbracing in the roof of the rear range is exposed.
