Description
St Catherine's Cottages is a pair of cottages dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. The left cottage is timber framed with whitewashed render cladding, while the right cottage is built of brick. Both cottages have plain tiled roofs that step up to the right. They are two storeys high, featuring an end ridge stack on the left and an end stack on the right for No 6. There is a plinth with a plat band over the ground floor on the right side.
The left cottage (No 5A) has leaded casement windows with diamond panes, three on the first floor and two below. It also features a gabled porch that is partially glazed, with a planked door to the right. The right cottage (No 6) has casement windows as well, with two on the first floor and a central window that is now blocked, along with two below, all under cambered brick relieving arches. There is a central plank door with a cambered head surround.
