Description
The granary and store, located 10 yards south west of Artington Manor Farm House, dates from the 16th century at the rear, with late 18th century extensions facing the street. The building features a timber frame at the rear, with red and brown brick infill over a stone plinth, and rubble stone and brick extensions. It has plain tiled roofs, hipped at the street end, and consists of a rectangular granary that is two storeys high with angle bracing on the first floor.
Access to the first floor is via a central door at the rear, reached by a flight of external wooden stairs. There is one window on the ground floor to the left and another door to the right. A window is also present in the gable on the right-hand side. The street front has a buttressed left corner with corbelled eaves and features an additional door under a weatherboarded section on the left return front.
