Description

No. 3 Quarry Street is a house that dates back to the 16th century, with a front that was added in the late 18th century. It features a timber-framed core with incised colourwashed cladding on the first floor and an old shop front below. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, positioned end-on to the street. The building has two storeys, with a stack located at the rear right and a jettied first floor. There are two first floor glazing-bar sash windows situated under an eaves cornice, with a parapet above. On the ground floor, there is a fixed glazing-bar window to the left and double doors to the right. The central entrance is a half-glazed door that has an over-light with margin tracery.
