Description
Sayers is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with a later extension added to the right in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped plain tiled roof. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the main front facing north towards the stream. It stands two storeys high and has a stone-coped parapet that partly obscures the roof.
The entrance front is situated to the south and includes a projecting wing at the right end. There is a front stack on the left and another stack at the angle of the roofs on the right. The house has twelve-pane glazing bar sash windows beneath gauged brick heads, with two on the first floor to the left and one at the end of the wing, following a similar pattern on the ground floor. A panelled door is located to the right in the re-entrant angle with the wing, topped by a traceried fan light. Additionally, there is another door at the right end leading into a single-storey brick extension from the 20th century, which has two windows.
