Description
This 18th-century dovecot is located 20 yards south of Temple Court in West Clandon. It is constructed of flint rubble, featuring a brick-edged plinth and angle quoins, and has a pyramidal plain tiled roof with deep eaves. At the center, there is a timber lantern covered in wavy-edged weatherboard, topped with a hipped roof. The structure is approximately 20 feet high and has a stack positioned at one corner. It includes one large, three-light diamond-pane leaded casement window set in a brick surround, adorned with gauged and tile-on-edge decoration. There are glazed doors on the side. Additionally, a 19th-century lower flint square pavilion is attached to the front, which has a tall brick stack with a corbelled top.
