Description
Church Cottage and Gardner's Cottage is a house that has been divided, dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It features a timber frame that is exposed, with flint rubble infill and some brown brick infilling, all resting on a flint plinth. The roof is plain tiled and hipped, with a gablet at the left end. The building has one storey and an attic, with two eaves and gabled dormers. There is a corbelled ridge stack to the left and a front stack to the right. The structure consists of three framed bays with an end outshot to the left and three casement windows on the ground floor.
To the left, there is a 19th-century door in an open gabled porch that has trellis sides and a cusped edge to the gable, which serves Gardner's Cottage. There is another door in the right-hand return front, which belongs to Church Cottage, set within a knapped flint and brick range that has wavy edged weatherboarding above. An open gabled porch is present at the end.
