Description
Farm Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was altered and extended in the 19th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with red brick dressings and features plain tiled roofs that are half-hipped with a gablet over the bay on the right end. The cottage has two storeys and includes a diagonal brick band at the eaves, with an end stack on the left and a rear stack on the right.
On the first floor, there are two 3-light casement windows with glazing bars, positioned higher on the right. The ground floor has two 3-light windows, all of which are set under gauged brick heads, along with a smaller 2-light window located to the right center of the ground floor. The central entrance features a part-glazed door.
The right-hand return front includes a central double bay with an attic window and an arched recess to the right. There is also a pentice extension at the rear left. This building is included for its group value only.
