Description

Myrtle Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was altered in the 19th century. It is built of red brick and has a thatched roof that is half-hipped to the left. The cottage features an off-centre brick stack and a lobby entry. It has one-and-a-half storeys and consists of two bays. The left gable and the right-hand bay have paired barred casements with timber lintels, and there is an upper window in the thatch. A boarded door is located to the left of centre, while a door to the right has been blocked. Inside, the right-hand ground floor room contains a spine beam and stop-chamfered joists. Originally, this building was two cottages. Myrtle Cottage is included for its group value.
