Description

The coal tax post, located to the west of West Park Hospital on Christ Church Road in Epsom, is a 19th-century cast iron structure. It stands on a square plinth with chamfered sides and features a panel that displays the City of London Coat of Arms, topped with a moulded cap. Near the top of the shaft, there is a raised inscription that reads "4 x 25 Vict". The cap of the post is marked "42".
