Description
The Hand and Spear Hotel is a mid-19th century hotel located on Heath Road in Weybridge, within the Borough of Elmbridge. It is built of red brick resting on a rendered plinth, topped with slate roofs that feature bracketed eaves and irregular brick stacks.
The entrance front showcases a four-stage tower at the center, which includes three full-height, round-headed panels. The first floor and above have glazing bar sash windows in the center, with casement windows located above. To the right, there is a two-storey gable front bay that projects forward, featuring a carved angle bay on the ground floor. To the left of the tower, a four-bay wing has an arcaded first floor with two casement windows, and three windows are set in the projecting ground floor. A half-glazed door is situated to the right under a flat hood supported by brackets, and there is an additional door with a flanking window at the base of the tower.
