LONG DITTON Simpson Way Former ancillary building to south west of Lambeth Waterworks engine house

(Formerly listed as Ancillary building to south west of Lambeth Engine House PORTSMOUTH ROAD)

GV II Ancillary building to engine house and boiler house. c1851-52 by James Simpson, originally for Lambeth Waterworks Co. Built of stock brick with stone dressings and slate roof. Gable ended with stone coping, oculus and metal casement flanked by round-headed windows. Buttresses. Side elevations have parapet with machicolations carried round over end bays, which have round-headed windows two stage. Three further recessed two stage casements. Included for group value.
