Description

This is a mid-18th century coach house and stable block, originally associated with the Queen’s Head Public House. The building is constructed of red and blue brick with a hipped roof; the front is slate covered, while the rear is tiled. A brick stack is located to the rear right. It is two storeys high, with brick dentil bands marking the eaves. The main facade is arranged in three bays, with a central pediment featuring brick dentil moulding and a gauged brick arched window in the tympanum. Four windows are present on the first floor, with gauged heads to three of them. These comprise two glazing bar sash windows and one casement on the right side of the centre, and one casement on the left. A planked door sits to the left of the centre, alongside a glazed door to the right. One-storey, pantiled wings extend to either side. The building is included on the list solely for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding buildings.
