Description
The Rectory is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations from the mid-19th century and late 19th-century extensions on the left side. The building has a smooth rendered plinth and roughcast above, topped with a plain tiled roof that is hipped at the left end. There are ridge stacks located at the right end, left of centre, and on the left side, with a 17th-century stack on the left.
The house has two storeys and attics on the right, featuring three gabled dormers with mouldings. On the left, there is one storey and an attic, with two pedimented, gabled windows that break through the roof line. A plat band runs over the ground floor, and there is a wooden eaves cornice at the roof. The first floor has seven mullioned and transomed windows. A half-glazed door is located at the right end, framed by a fluted pilaster surround with rose paterae at the ends of the cornice. Above the door, there is a dentilled flat porch hood supported by two Doric columns. To the left end, there is a flat-roofed single-storey garage addition.
At the rear, the building features two gable front outer bays and three angle bay windows across the ground floor.
