Description
The Queen's Head Public House is an early 18th-century building that has been significantly altered in the middle and late 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed brick with slate roofs, and has rendered stacks at each end. The building is two storeys high with an attic, featuring two flat-roofed dormers. The original section of the inn has three bays, with a plat band above the ground floor that breaks up centrally. It has sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor and casement windows on the ground floor. A central half-glazed door is sheltered by a flat hood, with another glazed door to the left, also under a small flat hood. To the left, there is a single-storey, three-bay extension with ridge cresting on a plain tiled roof. A two-storey addition with a slate roof extends to the right, with wings angled to the rear.
