Description
Burvale House is a house dating from the late 18th century, with alterations and additions made in the early and mid-19th century. The building is rendered and features hipped slate roofs, with rendered stacks located at the rear. It has a roughly square shape and consists of two storeys.
On the first floor, there is one sash window in a projecting strip surround on the right side, while the ground floor features three sash windows on the left side, all set beneath drip mouldings. To the right, there is a segment-headed porch recess that contains a door, with windows above and to the right. A gable front bay is set back on the right side. The left-hand return front has a plat band over the ground floor and consists of three bays, with the centre bay being bowed and featuring a balcony on the first floor supported by six thin cast-iron pillars and surrounded by iron railings. The ground floor windows have cambered heads.
At the rear, there is a square bay on the ground floor to the left and a pediment on the right. The interior retains some original details, including a staircase, gallery, and plaster ceilings.
