Description
This building is a row of almshouses located at 122 to 126 Octagon Road, constructed around 1912. It is made of red brick with recessed quoins and features a plain tiled hipped roof with two ridge stacks. The structure is single storey and has entrance arches at both ends of the front, with an additional entrance off centre to the right. There are single casement windows to the left and right of the centre. Whiteley Village was established by William Whiteley of Whiteley's stores for elderly residents and was designed on an octagonal plan by Frank Atkinson, utilizing prominent architects of the time.
