Description

This is a lodge, built in 1905 by Sir Ernest George and Yates. It is constructed of yellow brick on a rendered plinth, with rendered dressings and a slate roof topped by a central stack. The lodge is octagonal in plan. It has two storeys, with a rendered string course above the ground floor and halfway up the first floor, featuring deep modillion eaves. The ground floor has an arcade with rendered keystones to the arches. Casement windows are set within two-step surrounds on all sides of the first floor. A half-glazed door is located on the right-hand side, with panels below. A roughcast, brick-rentice roofed extension was added to the rear left in the 20th century.
