Description
The granary, located approximately 15 meters west of Cokethorpe School, is a 17th-century structure now used as a classroom and lavatory. It is built from coursed limestone rubble and features a conical stone slate roof. The building has a circular plan and stands two storeys high. There are timber lintels above a 20th-century door, as well as 20th-century and blocked windows. Access to the first floor is provided by 20th-century wooden steps leading to a timber lintel above a reset six-panelled door.
