Description
The Swan Public House is a building that was originally a house, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with brick stacks at the ends. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with a four-window range. There is a 20th-century porch and flat stone arches above the 20th-century windows. To the left, there is a 19th-century one-storey bay made of similar materials. At the rear, there is a stair-turret. Inside, the property has chamfered beams and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer to the left. The first floor has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
