Description
Myrtle Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse located on Hanborough Main Road in Long Hanborough. The building is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features an artificial stone slate roof with a brick ridge stack. It has a two-unit lobby-entry plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a two-window range. The farmhouse has 20th-century timber lintels above its 20th-century door and windows, and it includes gabled dormers. At the rear, there is a stair-turret projection that connects to a remodelled 18th-century block, also with a stone slate roof. To the right is an early 19th-century two-storey service range made of similar materials, which has a 19th-century plank door. Inside, the farmhouse features 18th and 19th-century plank and panelled doors. The room on the right contains a reset 17th-century moulded stone fireplace with a four-centred arch, while the first-floor room on the left has an early 18th-century beaded stone fireplace.
