Description
Eastwards is a house located in Long Hanborough, dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled stone slate roof with end stacks made of stone, finished in brick—one from the 17th century on the left and one from the 19th century on the right. The house has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a four-window range. The windows include late 19th century casements, two-pane sashes, and a two-light casement with iron fittings in the top right. There is an inserted 20th-century door with timber lintels and an outshut to the right made of similar materials. At the rear, there is a late 17th century one-storey range built with similar materials. Inside, the house features chamfered beams and part of a 17th century chamfered plank and stud partition to the left of the door. Only partial inspection of the interior was possible.
